My best method for doing this mish is to avoid the Luxon group by running as far to the right of the area as possible before the dialogue thread ends. Just head south to the end area of the mish, and begin killing all groups that you encounter. Work your way back north to the Luxons, still killing every group. Once back there, you will encounter a large spawn - use the smoke canister by dropping it in the middle of the baby turtles. The Siege Turtle firepower will keep them safe. Once this initial battle is over, escort the group south. You will encounter one or two more spawns, but they are nothing to worry about.

Specific tips:
Several Kurzick groups will continue to spawn in the southern areas - don't let these groups meet up if at all possible. Head off one at a time, and use the aggro and run method to minimize the number of foes you fight at any one time.

As for party formation, the easiest time I had was bringing three monks, one MM, one Interrupt ranger with a couple AoE attacks, and one AoE character - preferably a Pyro. One tank for aggroing is also good, but not necessary.

Patience is the key here - again, the aggro and run method will keep your party from being overwhelmed, and make sure you explore the entire area so you are sure to have eliminated all current groups, and won't get any additional surprises other than the spawns that occurr while escorting the Luxons to the end area.
